Once again, it is time to finish up the pear harvest of late summer. I'll be making more pear jam, as I have since Fall of 2000 or 2001.
They're so beautiful, they don't even need much commentary. I will say that if you don't care for the texture of pears, eat them baked in a crisp or cobbler, or spread some pear jam on toast. All are a great alternatives to eating them raw.
