See how the spine cloth is cleanly split from top to bottom.The supporting paper on the inside is acidic and crumbly, so that will need to be removed, and new spine stiffener added, before being able to repair the split spine cloth.
For the spine repair, I'll need to do some color matching on new fabric and paste that in.
